BIOSTATISTICS
The Biostatistics Core’s mission is to support the research activities of the BIDMC CTSC (Clinical and Translational Science
Center) by:
Reviewing
all protocols submitted to the CRC’s Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC)
Assisting
investigators with the design of their studies – (it is recommended that
investigators meet with the statistician before submitting the protocol
to the CCI and SAC so that study design and statistical analysis issues can be
discussed in advance)
Advising
investigators regarding data collection and management issues and software
Advising
investigators regarding statistical analysis, interpretation and presentation
issues and statistical software
Assisting
investigators with more complex statistical analyses, as time permits
Providing seminars on study design, data
management, and data analysis
