Medical Resident Research Elective
The Resident Research Curriculum of the Department of Medicine combines a mentoring program, educational sessions, and a research project to provide clinical research training to medical residents. Although the research projects are generally patient-oriented, basic science protocols are also accepted. The program starts with mentoring opportunities for medical interns, followed by an intensive two-week research elective for junior residents that culminates with presentation of a research protocol, and ends with several blocks of dedicated research elective time in the third year.
