Research and Teaching Interests:
Our primary research interest is to understand the fundamental mechanisms of aging and age-related disease.  Specifically, we have discovered three human genes (Pin1, Pin2/TRF1 and PinX1) that play major regulatory roles in aging and age-related disease. Our studies establish a new paradigm in cell signaling, uncover new pathogenic mechanisms and also point to potentially novel therapeutic strategies for human disease, notably cancer and Alzheimer’s disease, major age-related diseases.
