Central
nervous system lymphoma, which occurs in advanced HIV disease,
presents with rapidly evolving neurologic symptoms. Ring enhancement
and surrounding edema can be seen on this CT scan with contrast,
making the lesion difficult to distinguish from toxoplasmosis.
Management consists of radiation therapy.
